Simple Summer Smoothie

Such a simple and delicious snack! This summer smoothie takes just minutes to make in a food processor or a blender.

2 Servings, 5 minutes


1 cup of frozen berries

1 ripe banana

1 cup canned unsweetened coconut milk or other milk

1 heaping tbsp nut butter


1. Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender and blend for 1-2 minutes, until smooth.

2. Enjoy!


  • Blueberry & Strawberry are my favorite, but any berry or fruit works well in this recipe.

  • I like adding nut butter to make it creamier and to help control the glycemic index of this snack so that there is blood sugar spike and it keeps me feeling full and energized for longer. It also provides me with the necessary proteins and fats that my body needs.

  • I think this shake is plenty sweet on its own, but if you're craving that little bit more, drop in a teaspoon of maple syrup or honey. Skip the highly refined and unhealthy cane sugar, please.

  • This picture features two colors because I made a batch with strawberries, and a separate batch with blueberries, but that's totally unnecessary.

Remember! Cooking is not like baking ~ you do not need exact measurements. Go with the flow, use what you've got, taste and adjust as you go along. It's guaranteed to be delicious!
